How pandemic changes technology
2020 was planned to be a special year for technology. Many companies were intending to release new projects, which will change humans life all over the world. Virtual reality, devices and software programs for tourists, technology for sportsmen and etc. But something went wrong. Covid-19 or Coronavirus, a term, which was not known to almost anyone before January 2020. Just in two months World Health Organization (WHO) declared, that it’s pandemic now, which means, virus spread whole world. Many projects all over the world were postponed. Which leaded to enormous economic losses. Virus impacted almost every sphere. Information Technology was not an exception. We, as Bite Consulting Services felt a part of this impact.
But as it was always in history, people survived every pandemic and evolved an immune to viruses. And now, technology does so. It evolves in some way, due to pandemic situation in the world. Recent technology advancements are doing more than changing the way we live and work.
They’re helping people to keep social distancing, for example by ordering foods and goods not going out from homes, online. Bite’s online ordering project – Global Shipping Express reached more users during pandemic time. Recent innovations helped to keep non-essential workers at home. Videoconferencing and online studying became a part of today’s life. Due to this fact, internet technology progressed faster speeds and more bandwidth.
One more project of Bite Consulting Services, known as Bite POS, also was influenced by Covid-19. Some tangible changes were made to project. Aiming to socially distance people and minimize contacts between them, company developed opportunities for restaurant guests, to make order without being in touch with waiter. Bite continues working on developing Bite POS project in way to make it more user-friendly and more safe in coming months.
There are many other examples of how pandemic changed and advanced technology in 2020, and it still does. Nowadays, we can’t predict where will this development take us, but one thing is clear, these changes are helping us to go through pandemic and lockdown.
